More Than Wheels

More Than Wheels was started in 2001 by Robert Chambers and Leo Hamill, who at the time were working in sales for a large local auto dealer. Frustrated by the high interest rates so many of their customers were paying, they saw a clear need for an organization to act as an advocate for car buyers - in short, to make buying a car simpler and more affordable for people from all walks of life.

More Than Wheels is a nonprofit that helps people find safe, reliable and fuel-efficient cars and build good credit. At More Than Wheels, we believe that having access to dependable and affordable transportation not only helps people meet their immediate needs, but also strengthens their ability to live healthier lives and secure their futures.
